Education and Training

Since 1997 we have qualified over 400 mediators in over 30 part-time year-long training programs.

At present we offer mediation training in Frankfurt am Main, Berlin, Munich, Jena and Switzerland, together with various collaborative partners.

Each course involves at least 200 hours that are spread out over about 25 seminar days in blocks of 3-4 days each, over the course of at least one year. They correspond to the standards set by the Federal Association of Mediation (Bundesverband Mediation – BM) for the qualification as “Mediator BM” and generally also enable the certification with the Federal Association of Mediation in Business and the World of Employment (Bundesverband Mediation in Wirtschaft und Arbeitswelt – BMWA), as well as with the Swiss umbrella organisation for Mediation (Schweizer Dachverband Mediation – SDM/FSM).

Our training groups are made up of people from many professions. The varied experiential background of the participants already directs the focus in a number of areas where mediation can be and is applied.

In our trainings we place special value on practical application and support all participants as they take their first steps in practicing mediation. We ensure this in a twofold manner:
  • Individual supervision and accompaniment of the participants’ first mediation case during the training sessions, between seminar sessions and over the entire period of the course.
  • Practice-oriented projects in small groups in which, parallel to the training, a consultation process on constructive conflict resolution is carried out in an organisation.
Among other things, the participants’ employers benefit from their employees’ mediation training.
